2026 Fall Work Week

This week is when we contribute to the longevity of Unirondack's beloved buildings and grounds, which means a lot of manual labor and cleaning! It's the dirty, rewarding work for those who really love to give back to Unirondack. 

Work Weekends and Work Weeks are a great opportunity for community members new and old to spend time together in the chilly early autumn at camp, while maintaining, repairing, and improving our beloved facilities. If you find shared labor deeply satisfying then our work weeks are perfect for you. If you are a long-time Unirondacker, work weeks are a pleasurable way to reconnect. If you have never been to camp before, work weeks are a casual way to make new friends and get to know the community.

After working through the morning and into the afternoon, the rest of your time is free for you to enjoy camp. In addition to three meals a day, a snack is provided on the evening of arrival and breakfast is provided on the morning of departure. The registration fee is used to pay for food for the weekend.

Deadline: Please, remember to register at least one week before the event. Registration will automatically close one week prior to arrival, so reach out directly to the managers if you need to register late. Registering less than one week before the event will incur a $25 late fee on top of the standard price.

Important: Please remember to fill out your Attendee Information Form, even if you've attendee before. It can be found in the confirmation email you'll receive when you sign up for this event, or through this online registration portal. It's very important that we receive the information from the required questions on this form (such as dietary needs and allergies) with enough time left to prepare to meet your needs. Shuttles: Please, remember to register on this event page if you need any transportation assistance from our staff in order to attend this event. Right now, Unirondack can ONLY provide shuttles to and from the Utica train station and the Syracuse airport.  Of course, you're also still welcome to drive yourself or carpool with others. 

Once registered, about a week before arrival, you'll receive a welcome email with a schedule, a packing list, and other information for you to keep in mind. If you have any other questions you can reach out to the managers at Manager@Unirondack.org.
